Before printing any order, each hi-res image is opened using Adobe Photoshop and the following adjustments are made:

-Adjust Brightness and Contrast (levels) More...

-Remove any sensor dust, blemishishes ect.. More...

-Boat is centered and zoomed in on if appropriate More...

-All images which are printed size 8 by 10, 11 by 14, and 16 by 20 are cropped from the "long side" so that boat and/or crew is centered as best as possible. More...

Remember that all the images you see on the web site have been down-sampled and compressed so there a lot more information on the original hi-res files I have cataloged for printing. If you simply "print out" a proof on your home machine, you will not come anywhere near the sharpness of the print you will get when you order custom prints. When you place your order, I send the hi-res version(s) which are 6 Megapixels or more by internet to shutterfly.com, ezprints.com, or ofoto.com (depending on the sizes you order) and the prints get made on very high end equipment. Since the process is "dust free" and I have complete control of cropping, the prints can be shipped directly to you from lab with the confidence you will be absolutely thrilled with the results.
